Western
New England College is located in the western section of Massachusetts
in the city of Springfield. Described at being at the "crossroads
of New England." Springfield is located approximately 90 miles west
of Boston, 20 miles north of Hartford, CT, and 150 miles from New York
City. Area sport organizations include the Naismith Basketball Hall of
Fame, American Hockey League Offices, Springfield Civic Center, Springfield
Falcons, Springfield Slamm, Springfield Sirens, Springfield Spirit, Spalding
Worldwide and Massachusetts Twisters. Regional sport organizations include
the Hartford Wolf Pack, Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, New England Patriots,
New England Revolution, Boston Breakers, Hartford Civic Center, Fleet
Center, Worcester Centrum, Worcester Ice Cats, Lowell Spinners, Lowell
Lock Monsters, Brockton Rox, Bridgport Bluefish,and Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
The College's beautifully maintained grounds and buildings serve as home
to undergraduate and graduate students from throughout the United States
and abroad. The College sits on 215 acres and enrolls approximately 4,600
students: 2,000 full-time undergraduates, 500 in full and part-time programs
in the School of Law, and approximately 2,500 in part-time undergraduate
and graduate programs offered on campus and at eighteen sites throughout
the Commonwealth. Western New England College has 30,000 alumni around
the world.
