The Department of Defense awards SMART Scholarships to applicants
who are pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering
and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. Cash awards are paid
at a rate of $25,000 - $41,000 per year. SMART scholarships
include placement in paid summer internships. Applicants
for undergraduate awards must be already enrolled in a U.S.

is from mid-August to mid-December. Award
