Federal Student Loan
Repayment Program
Federal employees are eligible to receive up to $60,000 ($10,000
a year) from participating agencies in this program towards
the payment of their education. This program requires the
employee to make a 3 year commitment to the agency/department

Center
The Plum Island Animal Disease Center
Research Participation Program aims to provide a variety of
educational and research opportunities that result in the
development of new knowledge and technology in the control
and eradication of foreign animal diseases. Areas of study

Massachusetts Promise
Fellowship Program
The Massachusetts Promise Fellowship Program is actively seeking
25 new Fellows. The Fellowship consists of a one year commitment,
$13,000 taxable living allowance, health insurance, free grad/undergrad
courses at Northeastern University, and $4,725 educational

The Wellstone Fellowship
The Wellstone Fellowship for Social Justice aims to advance
social justice through health care advocacy by focusing on
the unique challenges facing communities of color. Through
this fellowship, established to honor the memory of the late
Senator Paul D. Wellstone, Families USA hopes to expand the
pool of talented social justice advocates from underrepresented
racial and ethnic minority groups. The ideal candidate must
demonstrate an interest in health care policy and racial/ethnic
health disparities. Additionally, we are looking for an individual
who displays the potential to contribute to social justice
work after their year of hands-on experience as a fellow.
The fellowship is a year-long, salaried position in the Washington,
DC office. Selected fellows will receive a compensatory package
that includes an annual stipend of $35,000 and excellent health

The Villers Fellowship
for Health Care Justice
The Villers Fellowship for Health Care Justice was created
in 2005 by Philippe Villers, Founder and President of Families
USA. Villers Fellows work in Families USA's health policy
department and assist the organization's efforts to improve
access to health coverage for all Americans, especially for
low-income and other vulnerable communities. Specifically,
Villers Fellows will conduct research on a range of health
care policy issues, and write and contribute to publications
that are relevant to current health policy debates. The ideal
candidate will demonstrate a commitment to health care justice
work following their year as a fellow. The fellowship is a
year-long, salaried position in the Washington, DC office.
Selected fellows will receive a compensatory package that
includes an annual stipend of $35,000 and excellent health

The Barry M. Goldwater
Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program
The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education
Program was established by Congress in 1986 to honor Senator
Barry M. Goldwater, who served his country for 56 years as
a soldier and statesman, including 30 years of service in
the U.S. Senate. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide
a continuing source of highly qualified scientists, mathematicians,
and engineers by awarding scholarships to college students
who intend to pursue careers in these fields. For more information,

Future Engineers Scholarship Program
Kelly Engineering Resources will award one outstanding sophomore
or junior-level student with $5,000 for 2010 tuition expenses.
We are looking for a student who demonstrates: Great potential
for, and commitment to, a career in engineering; Outstanding
academic performance; Depth of engineering knowledge on a
given topic; essay creativity, composition, and originality.

SMART (Science, Mathematics &
Research for Transformation)
The Department of Defense awards SMART Scholarships to applicants
who are pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering
and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. Cash awards are paid at
a rate of $25,000 - $41,000 per year. SMART scholarships include
placement in paid summer internships. Applicants for undergraduate
awards must be already enrolled in a U.S. college or university.
The application submission window is from mid-August
to mid-December. Award notification occurs annually
