Let me tell you a little bit about my best friend Tony.
He is getting married on June 5th, 1999 to a girl by the name of Sabrina.
I met Tony when I was 12. I had just moved to Brookfield
and wanted to play football. Football practice went well, however there were not too
many people who stuck around for the Midget league. This was the up to 135 lb. class for
7th and 8th grade guys to play in. We became friends around this time and have been
friends ever since.
He is getting married now, pretty scary. I have known him
for a long time and have experienced many things both good and bad with him. All I can say
is that it is a good thing that he found someone that is willing to put up with him.
Hee Hee Hee.
Anyway, here is a picture of the bride and groom a few weeks
ago in the old hacienda in Massachussetts.
Well, now Tony is a married Man. It has been a few weeks since
the wedding. It was a blast. Very fun time, lots of dancing and drinking. The toast went
over well. So well in fact that many people have asked for a copy of the speech. So to sum
it up, here is was I wrote. A little improvisation was added, but all in all, it was word
for word.

| Wedding Speech |
Alright, I am a little nervous here so to
let you know, this is going to take a few minutes so you can rest your glasses for a little
while. To start off this speech, I would like to say a few thank you’s, but not before I
take a moment to mention how lovely Sabrina looks today in her beautiful dress.
First, I would like to say thank you to Tony and Sabrina
for allowing me to be a part of this special occasion.
Second, I would like to thank the parents of the bride and
the parents of the groom for putting on such a wonderful day for all of us to enjoy.
And finally, I would like to thank Tony for making such a
good choice for the best man.
Seriously though, In our lifetimes, we are gifted with a
small number of truly landmark moments. They start small enough, say, riding a bike for
the first time, or throwing your graduation cap high into the air. And as you get older,
they grow in significance, say when the doctor tells you, “it’s a girl,” or “it’s a boy”,
and then hands your that child. And it must be a perfect moment when you look into the
eyes of the most loving, caring, giving, individual that you’ve ever known and say, “Yes,
I want to be with you forever”.
A moment like this and to the commitment, which follows,
should be celebrated to the fullest.
And so, I contend to all present that it is our duty to
ensure that this moment in the lives of Sabrina and Tony does not pass unrecognized and
in doing so we might just make this one of the landmark moments of our own lives.
As I sat down to write this speech, I reflected back on all
the times that Tony and I shared, and I came to one conclusion. I have known Tony a very
long time and it probably would be for the best if I didn’t go into all the particulars of
how I knew him when he did this and that. Because; he actually got married today and I
wouldn’t want to be the cause of him sleeping on the couch on his wedding night. Only
kidding. Tony my friend, you are a lucky man. You have found the one that makes you
whole; and Sabrina, well what can I say, you have Tony, and being the Tony that we all
know and love, I wish you good luck, and many good times down the road.
So all in all, I would like to thank everyone for coming
today to witness Tony and Sabrina’s very happy and special day.
And it is with great pleasure that I say congratulations
to Sabrina and Tony. Many you share many warm days and many warm nights.
So if everybody will raise there glass and join me in a
toast to the happiness of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Miodonka. Here’s to Tony and Sabrina, a life
of years, free of tears, bottoms up and lots of luck.
