A
group of nine Western New England College students and one faculty member
participated in an Alternative Spring Break program
A group of nine Western New England College students and
one faculty member participated in an Alternative Spring Break program in
El Paso, TX from March 13 to March 21. The group presented a program to
showcase the trip at the annual Alternative Spring Break Reception on March
26. While in El Paso, the group worked with staff members at the Child Crisis
Center to coordinate and run programs for the resident children as well
help assist with maintenance of the facility. The participating students
included Meggan Czerwinski of Pittsfield, MA, a senior marketing communications/advertising
major; Laura Dennison of Essex
Junction, VT, a sophomore psychology/elementary education major; Lindsay
Guido of Guilford, VT, a sophomore marketing communications/advertising
major; freshman Dani Hanna of Monroe, CT; Curtis Jones of Beverly, MA, a
sophomore marketing communications/advertising major; Mallory Patten of
Trenton, ME, a sophomore marketing major; Jeffrey Tate of Bedford, MA, a
freshman criminal justice major; and Jennifer ZeRuth of Nazareth, PA, a
freshman political studies major. The team leader was Carissa Scenna of
Amherst, NH, a sophomore marketing major. The team advisor was associate
professor of Quantitative Methods and Computer Information Systems Dr. David
Russell of Longmeadow, MA.
