1998 Holiday Reception: A Time for Fellowship and Recognition
SPRINGFIELD, Ma. — The College saluted employees for their service during the annual Holiday Reception conducted Dec. 18. Dr. Anthony Caprio, president of Western New England College, congratulated staff members and presented certificates of appreciation to part-time employees and lapel pins for full-time employees.
The highlight of the employee recognition ceremonies was the presentation of a plaque gratefully acknowledging the 35 years of service of Edward Lindberg, director of computer services.
Another long-time employee was spotlighted because of his announced retirement. Alfred Letourneau, director of facilities management, whose association with the College began in 1956, was also honored at the Holiday Reception.
Also receiving special recognition were alumnus and long-time trustee Alfred LaRiviere '51/H'95 and his wife Marian for their many years of volunteer service to the College.
