Fall Registration Procedures for Full-Time & Part-Time Students (March 10, 2009) 1. Determine the first day you are eligible to register for Fall from the listing below. Your registration number will also appear on ASAP, https://yogi.wnec.edu/general/welcome.htm 2. Make an appointment with your advisor for the first day you are eligible to register, or as soon thereafter. .pdf of the schools' Fall Advising sheets are available @ www.wnec.edu/acadsched/Fall2009Advising.pdf 3. Print out a copy of your Degree Audit from the ASAP system. Make sure that your WNEC email account and password is activated. If you are having a problem, contact the Help Desk at Ext. 2200. 4. The course schedule will be available on the Academic Scheduling web page by March 18: http://www.wnec.edu/acadsched/fall/welcome.html Copies of the Fall schedule will also be posted on bulletin boards in the classroom buildings March 19. The undergraduate course descriptions in 2008 catalogue are available @ http://www1.wnec.edu/catalogue/index.cfm?selection=doc.5954 The 2009 catalogue will be available on-line in mid-June. 5. Prior to meeting with your academic advisor, carefully make your Fall course selections, prioritizing them along with suitable alternatives on the Registration Worksheet. Be sure that the total number of credits meets any financial aid requirements for full-time study (if applicable). *** Online Course Load - per catalogue *** "Full-time undergraduate students at Western New England College, in order to experience a wide range of pedagogy, are allowed to register for no more than one online course per semester of the regular academic year. Online courses can only be taken after the freshman year. There is no restriction to the number of online courses/credits a full-time student can apply toward a degree provided the courses are equivalent to Western New England College courses." 6. Meet with your academic advisor on your scheduled appointment date to review proposed Fall course selections. ***** Your advisor may be able to complete your registration on-line in his/her office. If not, go to the Student Administrative Services Office on or after your assigned day to complete your Fall registration. Your advisor's signature will be required in order for SAS to process a registration. *Full-time Juniors and Seniors: Check ASAP for the on-line registration information. ASAP permits you to input your course registration on-line after seeing your advisor and getting their approval. **All Part-time Students: Check ASAP for on-line registration information. ASAP permits you to input your course registration on-line but you may also register in-person with an advisor from your school, or in SAS. * * * PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING * * * No one is allowed to register before their assigned registration day. The on-line registration program prevents students from registering earlier than their first assigned registration day. Do not schedule an appointment with your academic advisor during a day or time when you have a class. You may be able to meet with your advisor and register on the first day specified for your registration number if appointments are available. If your advisor does not have any available advising hours for that day, you may make an appointment for an earlier day, if one is available. In that case, your registration will be processed in the Student Administrative Services (SAS) Office on the first registration day assigned to you or any day thereafter.
